Met-Fit:
Met-Fit combines two excellent services: metabolic testing and a four-hour educational course over fitness and nutrition.
How it Works: First, we will perform metabolic testing. After the individuals know what his/her current resting metabolic rate, we will then educate them on what that number means and what steps they can take to achieve their fitness and nutritional goals.
Here is an example of how the course would work:
The time that it takes for metabolic testing will depend on how many employees participate. We are able to perform four metabolic tests in an hour, so in an eight-hour day we could have 32 people complete the metabolic test.
Friday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM: Metabolic Testing
Saturday: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM: Fitness and Nutrition Course
Again, this is just an example; details of the course can be set-up depending on the needs of your corporation (days, number of employees and topics for the classes).

Metabolic Testing
What is Metabolic Testing?
Metabolic testing measures the oxygen that the body consumes. Using this measurement, it calculates number of calories that an individual burns at rest in a day. It will identify your unique Target Caloric Zone so that you can tip the scales to lose weight without depriving yourself.
Bottom Line: Metabolic testing will show you precisely how many calories your body actually burns and calculates how many calories you should eat to lose or maintain weight.
- How many times have you decided to lose weight only to become frustrated because you didn’t see the results you wanted or were hungry all of the time?

Variables involved in Metabolic Testing
- Resting Metabolic Testing (RMR): This is the number of calories you burn doing minimal activity such as working a desk job or sitting in a chair all day long.
- Lifestyle (Everyday Activity): The number of calories you burn on a daily basis by doing simple activities such as walking, eating and driving. It is calculated using your RMR measurement.
- Exercise (Moderate Intensity): Your RMR is then used to calculate the number of calories you burn when exercising for 30 minutes at moderate intensity.

- Each individual will receive a metabolic score with a brief (5 minutes) orientation.
- Each individual will receive a metabolic score and then we will bring the group together and present four hours of information covering fitness and nutrition.
